Intangible Packaging Design: Flip-Clock Shredder
ā€œTime is a never-ending river that weaves memories and forgetting into a delicate dance, shaping the complex fabric of our lives. Recollections, akin to pieces immobile in time, form the strands of our individual story, encapsulating the feelings and particulars of particular instances. Forgetting is a natural process that adds a sense of transience to our memories, whereas remembering is an intentional act that involves retrieving treasured items from the recesses of our minds. A mosaic of experiences that characterizes both our individual and collective existence is created by the delicate dance between remembering and forgetting, which is influenced by the dynamic nature of time. This dance highlights the fleeting beauty of moments that endure and the fading echoes of those that slip away.ā€

In this conceptual packaging, a flip-clock channels the energy of time. A never-ending number set and the negatives of this period are fueled by the electric motor which turns two sets of wheels continuously via a reduction gear train. Each paper gets shredded after a turn, leaving us to forget and remind ourselves that we canā€™t return to that moment ever again.
